Behaviour

Our behaviour management policy is designed to set out the school’s overall position, expectations and philosophy regarding behaviour management. It is expected that all staff will implement the policy and, in the majority of day-to-day circumstances, the policy (along with agreed rewards and sanctions) should provide a sufficient framework to manage pupils’ behaviour.

All children in our school are welcomed and respected. In return, we expect children to be kind, to behave well and to strive to always do their best.

As a school, we use restorative approaches to improve behaviour and build community.

Restorative approaches help develop a happier school where the focus is on learning not conflict. We endeavour to create a school community where every child feels safe and respected, enjoys coming to school and is confident that when things go wrong we will do everything we can to help put it right.

Restorative approaches encourage pupils to think about how their behaviour has affected others. It helps children to develop respect, responsibility and honesty.

Our Behaviour Management Policy can be found on our policies page of our website.
