Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed learning about prehistory – from the Stone Age to the Iron Age – with a special Prehistory Day. We were lucky to have a visit from a real archaeologist, Jim Snee from Heritage Lincolnshire, who brought with him some amazing prehistoric artefacts, including an ancient ice skate and a cow’s horn which was thousands of years old.
We took part in a range of activities: sketching artefacts, making clay pots in the style of the Beaker people and making flatbread using a similar technique to our Stone Age ancestors.
It was a great day and we would like to say a huge “Thank you!” to Jim Snee for helping us to learn even more about prehistory.
