About The School
School History

The School was opened in September 1991, with the amalgamation of Stanhope Road Infant School and the Bowl Alley Junior School. The junior part of the school was built in the 1950s, with the Infant school opened in 1974. A nursery class was introduced in 1984 and a new extension completed in 1994.


The School Building

Horncastle Community Primary School is situated in a pleasant position surrounded by hard play areas and playing fields. The upper school has eleven classrooms, a hall, library, computer suite and the main offices. The lower school has ten classrooms, a hall, SEN room, library area and computing room equipped with laptops. There is a purpose built nursery unit and a dining room block which has two further teaching spaces.
